About the event

During the workshop, Michelle will teach you basic stitching techniques and share her secrets on how to use embroidery to decorate clothing and accessories. Examples include embroidering a sweatshirt, denim jacket or tote with a heart with your children's initials, a loved one's handwriting, smiley face, stars, etc. or come up with your own design! This is the PERFECT workshop for beginners as no experience is necessary. You will leave with a new skill, a handmade item you can wear again and again, and a fun morning!

Included in the workshop is a take home embroidery kit ($25 value) with all supplies needed except the article of clothing or accessory you would like to decorate. Example items to bring to stitch include a sweatshirt, denim jacket, canvas bag, apron or hat. You may also purchase a buttery soft women's sweatshirt, kid's denim jacket or tote for the event using this form.

About Embroidery Babes:

While suffering from secondary infertility, owner Michelle Fleischer discovered how hand embroidery gave her an outlet to be creative and reduce her anxiety. After having her second child through IVF and becoming an embroidery addict, she launched Embroidery Babes and hasn't stopped stitching since!

A former corporate trainer, her true passion is now sharing her love for embroidery with others through teaching workshops at local businesses, corporate team building events, house parties, women's organizations and more (we're based in Bergen County but also travel). Participants have gotten hooked as well, with many sharing how it's given them a new hobby and provided therapeutic benefits.

Embroidery Babes also offers a range of custom and specialty clothing & accessories from hand embroidery and beading to appliqués and patches. Visit embroiderybabes.com to shop and learn more about joining or hosting an event.
